1790-1910 - the Romantic Period

You are listening to a montage of original music for the ROMANTIC PERIOD which consists of two examples that I have arranged selected images to play alongside the audio for showing.  The first is an original piano concerto which is a battle between piano and orchestra.  The second piece is an original Requiem Aeternam for small orchestra and four part choir using Symphonic Choirs programmed to speak the words of the Requiem.

THE ROMANTIC PERIOD
Whereas the CLASSICAL PERIOD was quite restricted and structured, the ROMANTIC PERIOD focussed on emotion.  Composers were inspired by paintings, nature and poetry using imagination and the fantastic, and an interest in the supernatural.  It saw the development of the PIANO, the expansion of the Orchestra, the establishment of the Brass section and the concept of the Virtuoso Performer.

The Words for my Requiem Aeternam:

Requiem Aeternam
Dona eis, domine.
Et lux perpetua luceat eis.

Te decet hymnus,
deus, in Sion,
Et tibi reddetur votum in
Jerusalem
Exaudi orationem meam
Ad te omnis caro veniet.

Requiem Aeternam
Dona defunctis, Domini.
Et lux perpetua luceat eis.

Requiem Aeternam
Dona eis, domine.
Et lux perpetua luceat eis.
